Lake Winnebago

The Winnebagosee (English Lake Winnebago, also Kitchigaminsee ) is a 557 km ² large lake in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

Location

It is the largest fully situated in that State waters: The two Great Lakes Lake Superior Lake Michigan and are larger but do not extend only to the territory of Wisconsin. It extends across the prefectures Winnebago, Calumet and Fond du Lac, is about 46 km long and up to 16 km wide. About the Fox River it flows into Lake Michigan.
