LAN Express

LAN Express is a Chilean scheduled airline based in Santiago de Chile. It is in the sole possession of LAN Airlines and operates an extensive domestic flight network, as well as some international routes. The main base is located at the Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, Santiago de Chile.

History

LAN Express is the successor of the founded in 1958 Chilean airline Ladeco who had approached to 1994 domestic and some international destinations. In August 1995 LanChile bought (today LAN Airlines), 99 % of the shares of Ladeco and incorporated it into their fleet. Ladeco was exclusive carrier for domestic connections in Chile. 1998 merged LAN Chile Ladeco with Fast Air, and in 2001 it was renamed the LAN Express.

Destinations

National flights to:

  • Antofagasta, Arica, Balmaceda, Calama, Concepcion, Copiapo, El Salvador, Iquique, La Serena, Osorno, Pucon, Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas, Santiago, Temuco and Valdivia.

International Destinations:

  • Rio de Janeiro, San Carlos de Bariloche and São Paulo.
