Landéda

Landéda ( Landeda Breton ) is a commune in the north- west of Brittany in the département of Finistère with 3603 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). It is located almost directly on the Atlantic coast on a peninsula between Aber Benoît and Aber Wrac'h.

The municipality includes the island Guennoc with megaliths and the port of Aber Wrac'h, which is located on an estuary with impressive tidal range.

Brest is located 22 kilometers (km ) south of Paris and about 500 km to the east.

At Brest there is the next departures of the expressways E 50 E 60 direction towards Rennes and Nantes. The station is the terminus of Brest regional railway lines and the TGV Atlantique to Paris. From 1898 to 1940, there was a narrow- gauge railway, which in Plabennec of the route Brest - teed Saint- Pol-de -Léon, and the Wrac'h led over Lannilis to Landéda and on to the port of Aber. In 1931 it was decided by the replacement bus service.

18 km southeast of the community at Brest is the regional airport Aéroport de Brest Bretagne.
