Landmarq

Landmarq is a British neo- prog band that was founded in 1990 in London.

Band History

Landmarq emerged from the neo- prog band quasar had the three founders Daisley, D' Rose and Leigh belongs in the 1980s. As a drummer Dave Wagstaffe was recruited formerly of Quasar, and bassist Steve Gee. However Daisley left the band soon and was initially replaced by Rob Lewis Jones and finally by Damian Wilson ( Threshold). With this line appeared in 1992 and 1993 the Dutch label SI Music, the first two Landmarq albums. He subsequently moved to Luxembourg LaSalle band that had a contract with a major label. He was temporarily replaced by Ian Gould but soon returned to Landmarq because LaSalle were unsuccessful. So was in 1995 the third album of the band.

In 1998, after the final farewell Wilson and the creation of the band's own label Synergy, appeared with Tracy Hitchings as a singer Landmarqs fourth album. A first live album followed a year later, the second in 2002, a live DVD in 2006. Founding member Leigh left the band in 2002, his successor until 2005 Gonzalo Carrera, which in turn was replaced by Mike Varty. After the fifth studio album in 2012 Wagstaffe joining Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, the new drummer, Daniel Martin.
