Landrethun-le-Nord

Landrethun- le-Nord is a commune with 1197 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Pas -de- Calais, in the Nord -Pas -de -Calais.

Location and Transport

The village lies on the main road D 231 between Marquise and Guines. The nearest highway exit ( E 402 ) is located in the western neighboring Leubringhen.

History

West of the town was built in 1943 during the Second World War by the German occupying forces with countless slave laborers an underground launch facility for V3 grenades that launch site Mimoyecques.
