Längenfeldgasse (Vienna U-Bahn)

The Längenfeldgasse station is a junction station of the Vienna U -Bahn lines U4 and U6 in the 12th district of Vienna Meidling. It is the only station of the Vienna U -Bahn, at the intersect of two lines on the same level. It is named after the length field alley in Meidling, which was named in 1894 after the benefactress Josepha Haas of Langenfeld -Palatinate home. The station extends between height Längenfeldgasse and height Storchengasse parallel to Schönbrunnerstraße and the Wien River.

The station on October 7, 1989, will be opened to replace the old rail - crossing station Meidling, which is only about 400 meters to the west and is now serviced by the U4. Prerequisite for the construction of the station was the demolition of the ramps leading from the Otto Wagner Vienna Viaduct station Meidling. This disappeared in the 1980s, a small urban neighborhood along the dark alley. The station has two central platforms. The two outer pairs of rails are controlled by the U6, those in the middle of the U4.
