Langenhagen is since 7 June 2009, a district of the municipality in the district of Techentin Ludwigslust - Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ).

Geography and transport

Langenhagen Airport is about four kilometers east of Goldberg and 20 kilometers southeast of Sternberg on the western edge of the Nossentiner / Schwinzer Heath. In the former municipality is a large shallow lake in a nature reserve Langenhägener Seewiesen. To the east are the Eckernkamp and the Ziegler wood two major forest areas in the south are at court Hagen forest areas Bauer wood and the Medower Mr. Wood. Outstanding surveys are missing in the municipality.

About Local roads do not exist in the local situation. About Goldberg to reach the highway 192 and on these the federal highway 19 through the connection Malchow (approx. 19 km).

For the former municipality included the villages of Hof Hagen and Langenhagen.

History

The place Langenhagen was founded by Neuenkamp monastery before 1260 and the district court Hagen was for many years the seat of the Duke's forester.

In 2004, the city lost more than nine percent of its population.

To coincide with the local elections on 7 June 2009 merged the communities Techentin and Langenhagen to the new community Techentin.
