Private schools, market situation
The market for private language schools is highly differentiated world. Concentration trends exist only in approach.
Private schools as alternative schools in Germany are subject to notification, but does not require permission. The respective ministries of education of the Länder act as a supervisory institution. For supplementary schools, there is no obligation. They are completely independent in their course and curriculum design. The individual institutes large chains are generally headed owner-operated as franchises.
For a broad audience, the community colleges offer affordable language courses.
The " Association of German Private Schools (VDP ) " is a nationwide voice for many private language schools in Germany and has worked as a lobbyist and public relations for this. Its membership includes 38 German language schools.
