Larry Birkhead

Larry E. Birkhead ( born January 22, 1973 in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American photojournalist. He became known through the custody battle for the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith. Birkhead grew up in Louiseville, 1991, he graduated from the Doss High School. Larry Birkhead has a twin brother named Louis Birkhead and two sisters.

Birkhead and Smith first met in May 2004 at the Barnstable Brown Gala, one of the biggest parties in the wake of the Kentucky Derby, which also attracts many celebrities.

On April 10, 2007 announced a court in the Bahamas that was determined by a DNA test Larry Birkhead as the father of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter.

Paternity dispute

Some men laid claim to the paternity, including Howard K. Stern, Mark Hatten, Frederic von Anhalt and Smith were former bodyguard Alexander Denk. However, Larry Birkheads paternity was proven by a DNA test. Smith himself had always indicated that their friend and lawyer Howard K. Stern was the father. On the death of Anna Nicole Smith Birkhead brought an application to a granting of custody of the child. Larry Birkhead was supported by Smith's mother Virgie Arthur in his efforts to prove his paternity. After the court decision, the custody of Howard K. Stern will now be transferred to Larry Birkhead.

In the course of the court proceedings Birkhead was also personal information about his relationship with Anna Nicole Smith as well as personal information about yourself including his income award. He stated that Smith had already been pregnant a year before the pregnancy from him, Smith had but the child is lost during the first weeks of pregnancy.
