Larry Charles

Larry Charles ( born February 20, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York City ) is an American screenwriter and director.

Charles began in the 1970s as a stand- up comedian in New York and went as a scriptwriter for comedy programs on television later. He wrote screenplays for such series as Fridays, The Arsenio Hall Show, Seinfeld ( 18 episodes), Mad About You ( Mad About You, 18 episodes), The Tick, Dilbert and Entourage. In the series, Let it, Larry! ( Curb Your Enthusiasm ), he led several occasions directing.

His first feature film as a director was in 2003 Masked and Anonymous, for which he also wrote the screenplay with Bob Dylan. 2006 he directed Borat, in 2008 in Religulous, with the U.S. late-night talk show host Bill Maher as protagonists. Followed in 2009 with his second collaboration with Brüno Sacha Baron Cohen. In 2012 it came with the dictator to a renewed cooperation.
