Lars Christensen Coast

The Lars Christensen Coast is that portion of the coast of Antarctica, located between the Murray monolith at 66 ° 54 ' east and the beginning of the Amery Ice Shelf at 71 ° 00 ' East. The seaward -looking parts of the area were discovered by Norwegian sailors, who were employed by Lars Christensen, after which the coast is named. The exploration and mapping of the inner side were completed in the 1950s by Australian expeditions.
