Lars Jonsson (Illustrator)

As a birder, he has become known primarily for his nature guide with detailed colored bird illustrations. As a painter, he had his first exhibition at the Natural History Museum in Stockholm ( Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet ) at the age of 15 years. 2002 Honorary Doctorate of Historical and Philosophical Faculty at Uppsala University awarded him.

Jonsson lives and works in southern Gotland in Hamra. A permanent exhibition of his works can be seen near the Museum of Vamlingbo.
