Lars Pettersson (ice hockey)

Lars Erik Pettersson ( born March 19, 1925 in Västerås, † May 8, 1971 ) was a Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

Lars Pettersson started his career as a hockey player in his hometown in Västerås IK for the first team, he was from 1945 to 1950 in Division 1, the then highest Swedish league, active. He then spent two years in the league rivals AIK Solna before it ran aground 1952-1954 once again for his hometown club Västerås IK, in which he then finished his career at the age of 29 years.

Internationally

For Sweden, Pettersson participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1952 in part in Oslo, where he won the bronze medal with his team. As the best European team Sweden was also European champion.
