Lars Søndergaard

Lars Søndergaard ( born April 5, 1959 in Aalborg ) is a Danish football coach and former football player.

He played his entire career for Aalborg BK, before a torn ACL forced him to surrender. After that, he was a youth coach and later assistant coach at his old club.

As of 2000, Søndergaard was active as a coach in the Austrian Bundesliga. He was first under Hans Backe assistant coach and later coach of SV Austria Salzburg (2000-2003). In the season 2004/ 05 he was responsible for FK Austria Vienna until he was on leave from Frank Stronach. From January 2006 to June 2007 he served as the successor to Walter Schachner for Grazer AK sporty responsible. In the 2007 /08 season he coached up to 22 October 2007 the Austrian Erstligaclub FC Wacker Innsbruck. From 17 January, 2008, he headed the coach of the junior team of FC Red Bull Salzburg. By the summer of 2008, the Dane has held the post of Head of Football Academy from Red Bull Salzburg for a year. His contract was subsequently not renewed. He is currently employed as an instructor at Viborg FF in the Danish second division.
