Lasse Strömstedt

Folke Lars- Olov ( Lasse ) Strömstedt (* May 23, 1935 in Gävle, † July 4, 2009 in Gränna ) was a Swedish writer and actor.

Life

Strömstedts father was a dock worker, his mother a housewife and he grew up in parent family situations. Nevertheless, the seventeen year old Strömstedt was convicted in the summer of 1952 because of repeated burglary, shop and car theft to eighteen months in prison. He was a criminal and spent four of eight more years in prison in the central prison Långholmen. By 1971, his work was interrupted as a casual worker of additional prison stays.

After 1971, he changed his life and became a writer, debater and actor. 1974 came the breakthrough when he published together with the journalist Christer Dahl 's novel Grundbulten under the pseudonym Kennet Ahl. This is a galgenhumoristische narrative that portrays the life in the prison Hall south-east of Sodertalje and Stockholm drugs neighborhoods. Strömstedt but also wrote some of his own books and showed great commitment in the fight against crime and drugs.
