Lateral thoracic artery

The lateral thoracic artery ( " lateral thoracic artery ") is an artery of the chest. Your Vein accompanying the thoracic vena lateralis.

The lateral thoracic artery arises from the axillary artery and pulls on the lateral edge of the pectoralis minor and then to the origin points of the musculus serratus anterior along. They also supplied musculi pectoralis major, pectoralis minor, serratus anterior, and the axillary lymph nodes. Through its Rami mammarii lateral it also supplies the female breast.

The lateral thoracic artery is variable and can be applied twice or even missing altogether. In the latter case, subscapular artery or artery thoracodorsal take over their coverage area.
