Lateral thoracic vein

The lateral thoracic vein is a superficial vein of the chest wall. It runs with the lateral thoracic artery in humans along the musculus serratus anterior, with predators and pigs along the dorsal margin of the pectoralis profundus and empties into the axillary vein. The thoracic vena lateralis passes the blood from the chest muscles, the female breast and the axillary lymph nodes. It receives tributaries from the vena mammary lateralis of the inferior vena thoracoepigastrica and the intercostal veins.
