Latta is a Town in Dillon County, South Carolina, United States. In 2000, the city had 1410 inhabitants. The city is the birthplace of soul singer Chuck Jackson and the opera composer Carlisle Floyd. It is also the home of the athletes Raymond Felton and Kevin Sox.

Geography

Former name of the place are Bishopville and Sardis. The town is located southwest of Dillon on U.S. Highway 501/South Carolina State Route 301, which are crossed in the center of the South Carolina State Route 301.
