Dillon County is a county located in the state of South Carolina in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Dillon.

Geography

The County is located in northeastern South Carolina, bordering North Carolina and has an area of 1053 square kilometers, of which 4 square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Robeson County and Columbus County, North Carolina, Horry County, Marion County, Florence County and Marlboro County.

History

Dillon County was formed in 1910. It was named after J. W. Dillon.
