Fairfield County (South Carolina)

Fairfield County is a county located in the state of South Carolina in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Winsboro.

Geography

The County is located in north-central South Carolina and has an area of 1839 square kilometers, of which 60 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Chester County, Lancaster County, Kershaw County, Richland County, Newberry County and Union County.

Fairfield County was formed in 1785.
