Laura Benanti

Laura Benanti ( born July 15, 1979 in Kinnelon, New Jersey ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

The father of Laura Benanti Martin Vidnovic and her mother Linda are actors. Her mother later married the psychologist Sal Benanti. She gave Laura Benanti singing lessons.

Benanti made ​​her debut in 1998 in the musical The Sound of Music. She starred in several other plays and was established in 2000 for the role in Swing! and in 2002 for a Tony Award nomination for the role in Into the Woods. In addition, she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. Since April 2006, on Broadway, she plays the role of Julia Sullivan in the musical The Wedding Singer. In 2008, she was honored for her supporting role in Gypsy Tony Award.

In the dance film Dance!
