Laura Benanti
Laura Benanti ( born July 15, 1979 in Kinnelon, New Jersey ) is an American actress.
Life and achievements
The father of Laura Benanti Martin Vidnovic and her mother Linda are actors. Her mother later married the psychologist Sal Benanti. She gave Laura Benanti singing lessons.
Benanti made her debut in 1998 in the musical The Sound of Music. She starred in several other plays and was established in 2000 for the role in Swing! and in 2002 for a Tony Award nomination for the role in Into the Woods. In addition, she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. Since April 2006, on Broadway, she plays the role of Julia Sullivan in the musical The Wedding Singer. In 2008, she was honored for her supporting role in Gypsy Tony Award.
In the dance film Dance! Every dream begins with the first step ( 2006) played Benanti on the side of Antonio Banderas. 2006 was followed by the comedy East Broadway, in which she played the lead role of Alexandra. In 2008, she held the figure of Beth Keller in the television series Eli Stone. Her first series starring role followed in 2011 in the retro series The Playboy Club, which was, however, already deducted after a few episodes. From 2011 to 2012, she starred in the crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, the recurring role of Mary Grace. In the dramedy television series Go On, she played from 2012 to 2013 alongside Matthew Perry, the main role of the self-help group leader Lauren Schneider.
Benanti was married from 2005 to 2006 with singer Chris Barron. Since 16 September 2007, she is married to actor Steven Pasquale.
