Laura Marling

Laura Beatrice Marling (born 1 February 1990 in Eversley, Hampshire, England) is a British folk-pop singer.

Career

Marling went on tour, including Adam Green and Jamie T, who invited them personally to accompany him on his tour in 2007 after he saw her second appearance at all. In February 2008 she released her debut album Alas, I Can not Swim, thereby reaching into the UK album charts.

Prior to her solo career Marling was a member of the folk rock band Noah and the Whale, which she co-founded in 2006. She was until Winter 2010 with Marcus Mumford, the lead singer of Mumford & Sons, romantically involved.

Laura Marling in 2011 received a BRIT Award for ' Best British Female Solo Artist '. In February of the same year she got from the New Musical Express NME Award as a " Best Solo Artist".
