Laurent C. Siebenmann

Carl Laurent Siebenmann (sometimes cited as Laurence Siebenmann, born 1939 in Toronto ) is a Canadian- French mathematician who deals with topology.

Siebenmann in 1965 received his doctorate from Princeton University with John Milnor (The Obstruction to Finding a boundary for in Open Manifolds of Dimension Greater than Five). He is a professor at the University of Paris-Sud in Orsay.

Seven man is known for his work in the early 1970s with Robion Kirby on classification and identification of obstructions for PL - structures on topological manifolds.

He is a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society.
