Laurent Delvaux

The sculptor Laurent Delvaux (* 1695 in Ghent, † February 24, 1778 in Nivelles ) was a pupil of Jan Baptist Helderberg and Pieter -Denis Plumier. He worked in 1717 in London and from 1727 to 1733 in Italy. In 1734 he became court sculptor of the Emperor Charles VI. , And later of Charles Alexander of Lorraine and Maria Theresa. He died in Nivelles, where he had lived mainly.
