Lázár Lovász

Lázár Lovász ( born May 24, 1942 in Tibeni ) is a former Hungarian hammer thrower.

His greatest success was achieved by the 1.89 m wide and 99 -kg athlete at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. With a personal best jump of 69.78 meters, he won the bronze medal behind compatriot Gyula Zsivótzky ( 73.36 m ) and the starting of the Soviet Union Romuald Klim ( 73.28 m).

In addition, Lovász won in 1968 as a guest of the British open championships and finished at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in 1966 and 1969 in Athens each sixth.
