Le Chesne (Ardennes)

Le Chesne is a commune with 968 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Ardennes department in the Champagne- Ardenne region.

Geography

The place is located at the summit level of the Canal des Ardennes. The Lac de Bairon is partly responsible for the water supply of the channel. Westwards performs a lock staircase down into the valley of the Aisne, east The canal runs through the first tunnel of Saint- Aignan, and then down into the valley of the Meuse.
