Le Dôme Café

The Café du Dôme is a restaurant in the Montparnasse district of Paris on the Boulevard du Montparnasse 109, on the corner of Rue Delambre.

History

Opened in 1898, the Café du Dôme was a favorite haunt of the bohemian Paris of the 1900s turn of the century. Among the regulars were painters, sculptors, writers, poets, art lovers and art dealers who attended the His located in the Montparnasse district west. The place was visited by the living in Paris, Americans, British and Russians.

The impecunious guests could a sausage and a plate of french fries afford, the wealthy guests could delight in oysters.

Today the restaurant has become a tourist attraction with lush Art Nouveau decor. It serves exquisite fish dishes.
