Le Puiset

Le Puiset is a commune with 402 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Eure- et- Loir in the Centre region; it belongs to the district of the canton of Chartres and Janville.

History

In the 11th century Le Puiset was a major rule within the Domaine royal. The lords of Le Puiset dominated the Beauce and fought with the Bishop of Chartres and the Capetians to the local dominance.
