LeasePlan Corporation is a brand-neutral full service leasing company for corporate fleets and the world's largest leasing and fleet management company. It sets the industry standard for decades.

In addition to the purely financial leasing for corporate fleets include the services of LeasePlan and other fuel cards, accident and claims service, care and insurance. In addition, selected consulting projects in Fleet area can be commissioned. LeasePlan Group has 60 offices in 23 European countries and in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, India, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates. History

Foundation

LeasePlan participation and Leasing Gesellschaft mbH was founded in 1973 as the third subsidiary of ABN AMRO Lease Holding NV in Dusseldorf. In cooperation with two employees, the then managing director Hans Lützenkirchen began to establish the company in the equipment leasing.

Differentiation and expansion

Over the following years the company grew steadily, began in different departments to differentiate, and established new corporate branches, such as 1978, LeasePlan insurance brokerage company. 1980 LeasePlan Germany GmbH was founded with a focus on equipment leasing and fleet management. The 1987 Constitution was the Travelcard Germany GmbH to call for service credit card represents a further expansion dar. To the growing number of employees and number of vehicles to meet, joined LeasePlan Germany GmbH 1988 the location and moved to Neuss. Other branches were founded in Hamburg, Frankfurt and Stuttgart, 1991.

Fleet management is the core task

From the 1990s onwards restructuring were made reinforced. In 1996, the Travel Card Germany GmbH and LeasePlan participation and Leasing Gesellschaft mbH were united GmbH billing systems for Travelcard Germany and established the sales and customer support as separate areas. 1996 LeasePlan has been certified as the first brand-independent fleet management company in Germany according to DIN EN ISO 9001. The certificate was presented to the company in 1999 reissued. More re-certifications were made in the years 2002, 2005 and 2008, according to the in the meantime by the TÜV further developed, new standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. The LeasePlan vehicle valuation method for the assessment of vehicles after the contract ends in 2001 was awarded the certificate " Fair car review" of the RWTÜV Systems Engineering GmbH. 2008 " LeasePlan participation and Leasing Gesellschaft mbH " was renamed to LeasePlan Germany GmbH.

E - tools, environmental protection and a brand for the small fleet segment

2002 and 2003 developed the LeasePlan Germany GmbH Internet communication tools for fleet managers and drivers, programs, e - Manager and e- Driver. Under new shareholders and new CEO Johan Friman began to integrate the issue of environmental protection in their consulting concept LeasePlan Germany GmbH in 2006 as one of the first fleet management companies. 2008 LeasePlan Germany joined the membership of the EU expert commission FLEAT To (Fleet Environmental Action & Assessment), which it had set itself over a period of two years, aims to develop a set of recommendations for environmental initiatives in the fleet for the EU.

Group structure

LeasePlan Germany GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of the Dutch LeasePlan Corporation NV from Almere. The parent company has operations in 23 European countries, as well as in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, India, Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates. LeasePlan Germany currently has offices in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich and Neuss. LeasePlan Corporation N.V. 50% owned by Volkswagen Bank and 50 % of the Fleet Investments BV
