Lebanon (formerly Steitztown ) is a city in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is also the administrative center ( county seat ) of the Lebanon County. The city is located between Harrisburg and Reading.
History
In 1740 the city was founded as Steitztown by George Steitz. On November 25, 1885, the city received city rights. In the early 20th century, the city grew to its present size, which is also due to the settlement of Bethlehem Steel.
