Content

Christopher Bohrmann died two days after his birthday in an accident with a scooter. An angel picks him up and wants to take him in posterity actually, but Chris has with his life not been completed. In flashbacks, the audience learns how Chris lived, as an observer, he experienced the processing of grief in his circle of friends and also a glimpse into the world without Chris being granted.

Premiere

Life without Chris was written specifically for graduates of the University of the Arts Berlin, the writer and director Peter Lund as a professor operates. The premiere took place with the Neukölln Opera due to a long-standing cooperation between the UDK. The premiere took place there on April 2, 2009.

Austrian debut

On 31 May 2012 "Life without Chris " celebrates the Austrian premiere in Vienna. Directed by Juergen Kapaun musical by the Musical Company EMDIS STAGE is produced in co-production with students and graduates of the Vienna Conservatory.

Reviews

In the Critique experienced life without Chris exceptionally friendly to euphoric recording. The Berliner Zeitung spoke of a "great success ". Der Tagesspiegel compared Author Peter Lund with Gilbert and Sullivan and the librettist of Jacques Offenbach. The Berliner Morgenpost called the mixture of flashbacks and visions of the future " succeeded brilliantly ." New Germany praised the " wonderfully bad dialogue, great music and exciting dance scenes ".
