Leça F.C.

The Leca Futebol Clube is a sport association of Leca da Palmeira, a municipality of the Portuguese city of Matosinhos ( Porto District ). The club was founded on 21 March 1912.

History

The club played a total of four times in the Primeira Liga. For the first time in the season 1941/42, when the club was Table. In the next few years the club played mainly in the second or third division.

In 1993 the club promotion to the Liga de Honra. Two years later the Leca FC increased after 53 years again in the Primeira Liga. After three seasons the club had relegated to the Liga de Honra after corruption cases in 1998. Currently, he plays in the III Divisão.

Play their home games out of the club in the club's Estádio do Leca FC.
