Lech Kołakowski

Lech Antoni Kolakowski ( born June 13, 1963 in Zambrów ) is a Polish politician, a local politician and since 2005 member of the Sejm in the V. and VI. Election period.

He finished his studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Warsaw University. He led his own trading company. In the years 1998-2005 he was a town councilor of Łomża, during the last three years he was vice-chairman of this committee.

In the 2005 parliamentary elections, he was for the electoral district of Bialystok on the list of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ( Law and Justice - PiS) elected to the Sejm. In the 2006 local elections, he ran for the office of Mayor of Łomża. He got the first ballot 24.8 % of the vote in the second round he lost to the incumbent Jerzy Brzezinski.

The Sejmwahlen 2007, he was confirmed for the PiS with 10,457 votes as a Member. He is a member of the Sejm Commission for EU affairs.
