Lecrae

Lecrae ( born October 9, 1979 in Houston, Texas, as Lecrae Moore) is an American gospel rapper.

Biography

Lecrae grew up in Denver and San Diego and decided as a 19- year-old to get involved in the church. First he gave Bible studies and other projects organized and then turned to the Christian rap to. In 2004, he released his first album titled Real Talk, with whom he immediately came to the U.S. Gospel Charts. At the same time, he and other musicians the 116 Clique and took there albums.

With his second solo album, After the Music Stops in 2006 he was already in the Top 5 of the Gospel Albums chart. From album to album Lecrae was able to increase its success. With album number three Rebel, he cited not only the gospel charts for two weeks, but came in the official album charts at # 60, the album Rehab came in the Top 20 and was nominated at the Grammy Awards in 2011 for an award. The sixth album Gravity was two years later as the best gospel album with a Grammy.
