Lee Clayton

Lee Clayton ( born October 29, 1942 in Russellville, Alabama) is an American musician and composer.

Stylistically, it is located in the area between rock and country. Clayton grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and began playing the pedal steel guitar at the age of 7 years, harmonica and guitar at age 9. After graduating from the United States Air Force, he moved to Nashville in 1969 and began a career as a songwriter. His first big success was the song " Ladies Love Outlaws" from the year 1972, with Waylon Jennings debuted at number 11 on the Billboard charts. In 1973 he released his first album " Lee Clayton ", with the Clayton was dissatisfied. In addition, he continued to compose songs for other musicians, such as " Lone Wolf" for Jerry Jeff Walker or "If You Could Touch Her at All " for Willie Nelson.
