Lee Kinsolving

Lee Kinsolving (actually Arthur Lee Kinsolvin Jr., born August 30, 1938 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, † December 4, 1974 in Palm Beach, California ) was an American actor.

Life

Lee Kinsolving, the oldest of four children of an official of the American Episcopal Church, began during his first year at college with acting. He took acting lessons at the famous Actors Studio in New York and was thus a so-called " method actor ."

After a brief period on Broadway, the manager Richard Clayton was aware of him. Clayton, who had already made James Dean and Tab Hunter to famous actors, brought the young man taking in some TV shows. 1959 moved Kinsolving to Hollywood, where he shared a room with James Franciscus in the early days. Here, too, he first appeared in television series in which war movie ... and the Lord before he was gracious in 1960 gave us his feature film debut. For his second role of Sammy in the drama The Dark at the end of the stairs, he received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. Kinsolving just made ​​another feature film, the drama precocity generation of Buzz Kulik. After that, he only played in television series.

Although praised by critics for its intense representation, Kinsolving retired in 1966 frustrated by the film and bought a bar in Manhattan. After brief affairs he sold the bar and married in 1969.
