Leeuwenhoek Medal

The Leeuwenhoek Medal was instituted in 1877 by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences ( KNAW ) in honor of Antoni van Leeuwenhoek. She was awarded about 1977-2003 every ten years to the scientist who has made the most significant contribution to microbiology in each vorausgangenen decade of the Academy 's view.
