Lefebvre Brewery

Lefebvre is a Belgian private brewery in Quenast, the suburbs of the Walloon brabant between village Rebecq. The brewery is a member of the Society Belgian Family Brewers.

History

The foundation of the family brewery in 1876 by ​​Jules Lefebvre. In 1916 the plant was dismantled during the First World War by German occupiers; Jules Auguste son built it 1921 again. In the third family generation Gaston Lefebvre did install a bottling plant. The Second World War was the brewery though, but the brewing activity had to be greatly reduced. With Pierre followed in 1954, the fourth, with Philippe 1975, the fifth and with Paul in 2002, the sixth generation male in the company's line of traditional brewing family Lefebvre. Since 1983, the operation also brews different beers Floreffe the brand, which was licensed by the Abbey Floreffe.
