Legoland Discovery Centre

The Legoland Discovery Centres are an indoor attraction for children aged 3-11 years or Lego fans of all ages. This leisure and entertainment center is a mini version of Legoland and is part of the Merlin Entertainments Group, which also manages attractions such as Madame Tussauds and the Hamburg Dungeon, The Amsterdam Dungeon and the London Dungeon.

Among the typical facilities of a Legoland Discovery Centres include a Lego factory in which children learn how Lego bricks are made, the 4 -D cinema, Lego Studios, a small country with Lego models of famous local and global landmarks, small rides, a cafe and shop, and of course many construction and play facilities with a construction and test center, modeling workshop and a climbing frame.

In some centers are also found next to buildings and animals from Lego Lego statues of iconic characters such as Spider Man, Darth Vader, Harry Potter and Batman.

Locations

The first Legoland Discovery Centre was opened in 2007 at the Sony Center am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.

Other locations include Oberhausen, Manchester, Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City, Dallas, West Chester, Toronto and Tokyo.

Established in 2008 in Duisburg Center was closed in 2012 in favor of opened in March 2013 Centre in Oberhausen.
