Woman mirror ( Legousia ) is a genus of flowering plants in the family of the bellflower family ( Campanulaceae ).
Description
In Legousia species are herbaceous summer annual plants. The flowers are bell - up wheel-shaped. The fruits are capsules pores.
Distribution and species ( selection)
Mrs. mirrors are of Macaronesia, Europe and on the Arabian Peninsula widespread genus comprises seven species.
In Germany two species occur:
- Venus woman mirror ( speculum - veneris Legousia (L.) Durande ex Vill. ); Distribution: From the Iberian Peninsula over southern and central Europe to Persia
- Small woman mirror ( Legousia hybrida (L.) Delarbre ); Distribution: From Great Britain and the Iberian Peninsula to Persia.
