Lehmann (lunar crater)

53.85

Lehmann is an impact crater on the western edge of the lunar front side, just north of the border of Wall Schickard level. The rim is eroded, the interior largely flat. Through an opening in the southern crater rim is a connection inside the crater to crater level of Schickard.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the German astronomer Heinrich Wilhelm Jacob Lehmann.
