Leif Edling

Leif Edling ( born August 6, 1963) is a Swedish musician, best known as the main songwriter and bassist for the style-defining Doom band Candlemass, which he regarded as influential personality of Metal.

Biography

Edling first played in the band Trilogy. Then he worked for Witchcraft. In 1981 he founded nemesis. After Messiah Marcolin Candlemass had left the band to Edlings solo project. After the dissolution of Candlemass 1994 Edling founded with Mats Levén Abstract Algebra. In 2002, Edling crux.

Equipment

Edling plays Mesa / Boogie 400 amplifier and an Ampeg 8 x 10 Cabinet. He plays a Fender Precision 57 ' Vintage and a Gibson Thunderbird bass.
