Leistnerhübel

The Leistnerhübel is a 879 m high mountain and is located about 1 km south of Wildenthal in the Western Erzgebirge.

Origin of the name

This mountain was named after the upper Forstwart Hermann Leistner, who lived in Wildenthal and rings acquired merit in the care of the forest to the Auersberg. Forester Dick, head of the Forestry Department Wildenthal, divided the corresponding suggestion of the State Forestry Administration of Saxony to the funeral, after the death of former Leist on 25 November 1933 with. Previously, the dome was called Storpsgehau.

Tourism

At the foot of Leistnerhübels and the beautiful views ( 883 m) winds the blackbird Path, a hiking trail that is used as a ski trail and feeder to the ridge trail in the winter. This forest trail leads from Wildenthal to Upper Wildenthal and then continue on the old national road 93 to the old Hischenstander Pass, which is a border crossing for Fußwanderer, ski and bike riders to Jelení in Bohemia since 1997.
