Leixões

Leixões with the port Leixoes represents the largest artificial harbor built in Portugal and the major maritime trading center of the city of Porto and its region. The port was built in the late 19th century and to this day still further. It is located about four kilometers north of the estuary of the Douro and belongs to the district ( concelho ) of Matosinhos. The harbor can be reached by sea, railway connection Linha de Leixões and road connections.
