Lemu

Lemurs [ lɛmu ] ( swedish Lemo ) is a former municipality in the southwestern Finnish landscape Varsinais- Suomi. At the beginning of 2009, it was amalgamated with Askainen after Masku.

The community lemurs had an area of ​​47.85 km ² and last 1819 inhabitants. The center of lemurs is a few miles inland, in the West, the municipality share on the Baltic coast. Originally belonged to the parish of lemurs Nousiainen, but was already in the Middle Ages to its own parish. The oldest written reference dates from the year 1404. The stone church of lemurs was 1460-1480.
