Lena Videkull

Lena Videkull ( born December 9, 1962) is a former Swedish football national player who now works as a trainer.

Career

Videkull began playing football at Göta BK. Then they played for Trollhättans IF. In the season 1984 you get 35 goals this season, which she was top scorer, and was able to reach the final of the Swedish Championship with the club, but lost Jitex BK. Later she moved to Öxabäck IF. Here she was the 1987 and 1988 Swedish National Champion, while with 24 goals this season top scorer in 1988 again. They moved on to Malmö FF and was able to celebrate with the club between 1990 and 1994 four more league titles and also has four more times top scorer. After she was already nominated twice unofficially Sweden's Player of the Year, her diamond Bollen in 1993 formally presented.

Videkull ran in 111 international matches on for the Swedish women's national team and was able to achieve 71 goals. With the selection they won the European Championship in 1984 and participated in the World Championships in 1991 and 1995.

After the end of her active career, she took over between 1999 and 2002 as coach for the women's team from Malmö FF. Later she trained Husie FF and worked for the Swedish Association for the U21 and U23 selections.
