Lenine (musician)

Lenine (actually Osvaldo Lenine Macedo Pimentel, born February 2, 1959 in Recife ) is a Brazilian musician and songwriter from Pernambuco.

In the early 1980s began Lenine his musical career, joining first the traditional music of the Brazilian Northeast with punk music. He played for example Maracatu on oil drums and shouted to African songs.
