Marcos Suzano

Marcos Suzano (* 1963 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian percussionist.

Life

During Suzanos degree in Economic Sciences was established in the wake of Carnival parades in Rio de Janeiro, his interest in percussion instruments. He began Surdo and Cuíca to play. After hearing Jorginho do Pandeiro, he eventually taught himself the instrument pandeiro, which became his main instrument.

After completing his studies and during subsequent employment in a bank, he decided to devote himself entirely to music, and he played in the group of Paulo Moura. He had more musical engagements with Zizi Possi and, Água de Moringa, Marisa Monte, Zé Keti, Gilberto Gil, Aquarela Carioca and Ney Matogrosso. In 1993 he recorded the album Olho de Peixe with Lenine.

Suzanos first solo album Samba Town was released in 1996, his second album Flash 2000. His discography as a sideman includes more than one hundred albums.
