Lens-Lestang

Lens- Lestang is a commune with 827 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Drôme in the Rhône -Alpes; it belongs to the administrative district in the canton of Valence and Le Grand -Serre.

Geography

The community is located east of the Rhone Valley, approximately 30 kilometers east of Annonay and 20 kilometers southeast of Roussillon, at the border to the neighboring department of Isère. Neighboring communities of Lens- Lestang are:

  • Beaurepaire in the north,
  • Marcollin and Lentiol in the east,
  • Hauterives in the south,
  • Moras -en- Valloire in the west and
  • Manthes in the northwest.

The town itself is located on the left bank of the stream Ruisseau Regrimay, the pivots coming here from east to north and a little later joins the Dolure that drains via the Collières at Saint- Rambert- d'Albon in the Rhône.

The department D538 road that runs from Romans- sur -Isère to Vienne opens up, traffic- the church.
