Leo Roth

Leo Roth (Hebrew ליאו רוט, as Lior Roth known) ( born May 17, 1914 in Galicia, Austria - Hungary, † 25 December 2002 Afikim, Israel) was an Israeli painter.

Early years

Leo Roth was born in the Jewish agricultural village Tismanitza in the then Austro-Hungarian Galicia. 1920 the family moved to Duisburg in Germany. 1930 Roth enrolled in art school Hamborn and began with Josef double box, a student, founded in 1928 " Folkwang Technical School for Design " and brother of Franz dual field, his training as a painter.
